The problemWhy the browser pixel alone fails
Relying only on the standard Meta Pixel means a substantial share of your tracking data never reaches Meta — lost to iOS privacy updates, Safari and Firefox tracking blockers, and ad-blocking extensions.
- A customer buys from your ad — and the browser pixel often fails to notify Meta
- Meta never sees that sale, assumes the ad did not work, and stops showing it to similar high-value buyers
The solutionServer-side tracking + deduplication
Conversion API (CAPI) creates a direct, first-party connection between your server and Meta’s server — a route browser ad blockers and iOS restrictions can’t strip away the way they strip the browser pixel.
We also configure event deduplication: when the browser pixel and the server both report the same sale, Meta matches the unique event_id, counts the order only once, and boosts your Event Match Quality (EMQ) score.
