How to evaluate a Meta Ads agency

Every agency promises growth. The differences hide in how they measure, what they own, and what they say when results are weak. Ask these questions — of us, too.

Strategy and creative questions

  • How will you decide what to test first — and what evidence will change your mind?
  • How is creative developed: hypotheses and variations, or volume for its own sake?
  • Who reviews creative for accuracy and brand fit before it runs?

Measurement questions

  • What will you check in our tracking before spending — Pixel, CAPI, dedup, consent behaviour?
  • Which numbers will you report, and how do they reconcile with our own sales or lead records?
  • What can't your reporting tell us?

An agency confident in its measurement welcomes these. One that changes the subject is telling you something.

Ownership and money questions

  • Is the ad account ours, in our Business Manager, from day one?
  • What exactly do fees cover — and is media spend separate?
  • What happens to campaigns, data and creative files if we leave?

The weak-results question

Ask: "If results are weak after 60 days, what will you do — specifically?" A good answer describes a diagnostic sequence: verify tracking, examine the offer and landing page, review creative learning, then adjust. A bad answer promises to "scale harder" or blames the algorithm.

Warning signs

  • Guaranteed ROAS, guaranteed leads, or "perfect tracking"
  • Reluctance to document scope or reporting methods
  • Your ad account created under their ownership
  • Case-study numbers they can't explain the measurement behind

Our own answers are on the approach page and in the FAQ on our homepage. If you'd like to test them live, start the conversation.

Let’s make your next ad decision a more informed one.

Tell us about your business, what you are advertising, and what feels unclear or needs to improve. We will review the information and discuss a sensible next step if the project is a fit.
